Blogs> The REAL truth about what women want. RSSRSS feed

Blog description:

Think of this as a "research project". Why do women (and men, but all things being equal, not my interest) claim to want one thing, but immediately contradicy themselves? I'd really like to hear from men and women with some thoughts or insights on this. Specifics will follow.

Looking at the users on this site, women say they want men who are funny, romantic, caring, successful, and a whole host of other personality traits. In this they are not significantly different than the majority of women out there looking for a partner.

Why then, do most women date guys that have none of these personality characteristics, some of whom are unemployed, in dead end jobs, cold, distant or downright abusive IF THE GUY IS PHYSICALLY ATTRACTIVE ENOUGH.

I'm not suggesting that women should date men they aren't attracted to, but why do they ignore a reasonably good looking guy who meets their "criteria" for a loser who is really physically attractive?

We've all heard this done to death by media "experts", but what do real women and men in the real world think. Have you ladies done this? Have you guys been on either end of this kind of thing?
